Popis: | The main task of the research is the analysis and evaluation of the heat pump integrated biomass district heating plants based on real operation data and modelling. Over the past few years, studies have shown that improving the efficiency of biomass heating plants to improve their competitiveness has become more important due to rising biomass energy prices, decreasing fossil fuel costs, and the development of alternative technologies.Among the possible measures, the most effective is the installation of flue gas condensing units in biomass heating plants with innovative integration of heat pumps. Within the framework of the BioCond project, an in-depth analysis using models and data from actual plants showed that the integration of flue gas condensation and heat pumps resulted in a 20% increase in efficiency, but meanwhile a higher CO2 coefficient due to the power requirements of the heat pumps.
