Popis: In the paper, a novel reluctance motor which is called Direct Current excited Reluctance Motor (DCRM) is proposed. This motor has plural segmental rotor cores, DC excited windings and three-phase AC armature windings on the stator. Current balance in those windings is considered. The characteristic is compared with Switched Reluctance Motor. Finally, the simulation results and experimental results of proto-type are compared.
