Popis: | We here present a comparison of a narrowband (NB) and an ultrawideband (UWB) system in the microwave frequency range for early breast cancer detection. We describe key elements of the UWB and the NB systems, including the use of the same 16-antenna array and breast-tissue phantoms, as well as highlighting main differences. First, we compare their transmitting output power and then assess their suitability for breast cancer detection using a phantom measurement. The NB results are promising, showing sufficiently high-power levels. |
