Popis: | The new BiSrCaCuO high T c superconductor has been processed by coprecipitation from aqueous nitrate solutions. This technique results in nearly atomic scale mixing of the starting constitutions and a more reactive starting powder than conventional processing (grinding oxide and carbonate powders). According to SEM, EDS, optical microscopy, and x-ray diffraction, the resulting samples are homogeneous and dense. The onset of superconductivity was observed to occur at 120K. |
