Popis: | On the basis of representing the electromagnetic field in the form of Gaussian beams a mathematical model is constructed of a five-mirror ring-coupled resonator which incorporates possible mismatches between the active and the passive modes. An expression for the beat frequency is derived in explicit form and is analyzed for the special case of low light transmission of the coupling mirror. The main conclusions of the model are verified experimentally using a helium-neon laser. |
