Popis: | Aluminum metal matrix composites with improved mechanical and chemical properties are used widely in automotive, aerospace, electrical, structural applications due to their high strength to weight ratio, fatigue resistance, and good electrical conductivity. This paper summarizes the effects of reinforcements such as SiC and CNT in the aluminium matrix by various fabrication Techniques. The most common mechanical properties (i.e. hardness, tensile strength and compressive strength, etc.) reported by several researchers are systematically discussed and debated to highlight the percentage of reinforcement and improvement during the fabrication and processing of the MMCs. The methodology for mixing condition and behaviour of Aluminium metal matrix composites are discussed to impart knowledge about the processing conditions. |
