Popis: Martensitic and twin reactions have many similar features, but the correlation between these reactions is not sufficiently clear. Martensitic transformations and mechanical twinning were investigated by well-known authors. The authors have chosen Cu-Al-Ni alloys because their martensitic transformation and twinning had already been studied. For {beta}{sub 1} {leftrightarrow} {gamma}{prime} transformation, d{sub 0} = {sub {beta}1}, {gamma}{sub 0} = 0.11 and m = {l_brace}331{r_brace}{sub {beta}1}, where d{sub 0} and {gamma}{sub 0} are the direction and magnitude of shear, and m is the habit plane.
