Popis: | Crohn′s disease is a chronic inflammatory disease that can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract, from mouth to anus. Extra-intestinal presentations, although less common, can also occur. Diagnosis may therefore be difficult as the presentation can differ greatly between patients. This can be a stressful time for patients, who may have debilitating symptoms and no diagnosis. There are various treatment options, but they do not offer a cure. This article provides a brief overview of current management strategies for Crohn′s disease. |
