Popis: | The theoretical analysis of the motion of lunar and interplanetary dust grains in the vicinity of the stable Earth-Moon Lagrange points L4 and L 5 is presented with a focus on determining spacecraft vulnerability to charging near these points. The research will examine the surface charging of a spacecraft situated near the stable Lagrange points due to dust comprising the Kordylewski clouds. For two initial orbit scenarios, the charging risk to and survivability of spacecraft relative to the Kordylewski clouds will be assessed. Overall, research into spacecraft charging effects created by interplanetary dust in cislunar space will enhance operational planning outside the traditional near-Earth paradigm of spacecraft mission operations, and increase understanding of the natural debris environment within this orbital regime. |
