Popis: | Optical feedback techniques will extend the region of possible applicationsof optics in data processing. Only a few different transfer functions can be obtained in a passive optical feedback system, but a wide variety of new possibilities can be suggested by introducing active elements (e.g. amplifiers and spatial phase modulators). A flashlamp pumped dye amplifier for optical feedback is presented and the resulting consequences for data processing systems are discussed. |
