Popis: Addiction is a complex chronic disease that can be challenging to define and to treat. Both the concept of re-covery and the role of drug testing are often misunderstood. To some, addictive disease is the use of addictive substances rather than a neurophysiologic condition underlying the manner in which one utilizes those substances. Further, some believe sobriety is recovery. In fact, sobriety is the endpoint of treatment for intoxication and withdrawal, and the starting point for treatment of addiction and achievement of recovery.
