This article considers fault of DC motors used in EKG-5A excavators of mining and processing branch of OJSC “MMK”. Quantitative ratios of faults and their types were identified. All motors were categorized by age. Proportion of “under risk” motors was determined. Such DC motors are eligible for fault diagnostics allowing to monitor fault at early stages. Analysis of main diagnosis methods was conducted and creation of recording system of sparking charges between brushes was justified. Approximate design for recording system with built-in antenna was presented. Main requirement for similar systems of fault monitoring and detection operating in harsh environments of DC motors in excavators were formed. |
