Popis: | Diagnosis of constrictive pericarditis(CP) is difficult using conventional Doppler echocardiography. Gracia et al. (1996 JACC) measured mitral annular velocities, and found that early diastolic myocardial velocity(Em) was significantly higher in normals and patients with CP, compared to those with restrictive cardiomyopathy. But only latest echocardiography equipment can be used to measure Em. We experienced two patients with CP. Case I was 67y.o.male two years after CABG and Case II was 66y.o.male who had the history of lung tuberculosis. Echocardiographical findings revealed restrictive pattern in trans-mitral flow(TMF), but Em was normal(9, 12cm/sec). Cardiac catheterization was performed and simultaneous right and left ventricular pressure tracings showing diastolic equalization of pressures in both ventricles, and early diastolic property was normal. This method (combination of TMF and Em) is easy and clinically useful to diagnose CP. P-017 |
