Popis: Despite the fears and beliefs related to sexual function and satisfaction during pregnancy, the healthy experience of sexuality (which is not reduced to these aspects but encompasses them) during pregnancy, is relevant to women quality of life and well-being. During pregnancy health care professionals can play a decisive role in prenatal care appointments and in childbirth and parental preparation classes. The assessment of sexual function and satisfaction can be determinant, not only to develop knowledge about the effect of pregnancy in these areas, but also, to identify problems and be able to respond appropriately to the pregnant woman needs. In this context, it’s important to identify the valid, reliable, and specific measurement instruments and their possibilities and limitations related to the sexual function and satisfaction during pregnancy.
