High-Hardness and Wear-Resistant AK12 + SiC Composite Material for Bushes

Popis: | A composite material based on a AK12 aluminum cast alloy (Al–Si–Mg system) reinforced by SiC particles is suggested as a material for the supporting bush in circular shears of a cutting system, and conditions for machining blanks of this material are selected. The composite material containing 10 wt % SiC exhibits the best hardness and wear resistance characteristics under dry sliding friction conditions. The application of bushes manufactured from the developed material allowed us to ensure a more prolonged time of uninterrupted operation of the cutting system under the operating pilot production conditions. |
