Chromosome counts were determined for 19 species of Agalinis, 1 species of Tomanthera, and 3 species of Aureolaria. Twelve species of Agalinis were counted at n = 14 and 6 species at n = 13. One species was recorded at 2n = 32. First reports at n = 14 are given for Agalinis divaricata, A. filicaulis, A. filifolia, A. heterophylla, A. neoscotica, A. paupercula, and A. plukenetii. First reports at n = 13 are presented for Agalinis edwardsiana, A. oligophylla, A. pulchella, A. strictifolia, and Tomanthera densiflora. Agalinis tenella was newly counted at 2n = 26 and Agalinis communis at 2n = 32. Aureolaria flava was counted at 2n = 24 and A. virginica at 2n = 26. Aureolaria pedicularia was recorded at 2n = 28. |
