Popis: | The Electron Multiplying CCD (EMCCD) astronomical camera, under development at the Institute of Astronomy UNAM, will be able to obtain images of faint optical objects with very low instrumental noise and short integration times. The EMCCD is a normal CCD with an additional multiplication register located before the input of the readout amplifier. This will be a very suitable instrument to search for optical pulsations of unidentified gamma‐ray sources, specially with GLAST entering the realm of radio quiet gamma‐ray loud pulsars. |
