The eastern part of CAOB consists of multistage Paleozoic oceanic magmatic arc terranes, fragments of microcontinents, ophiolite complexes, and considered to be an accretionary orogenic belt (Fig. 1.3; Sengor et al. 1993; Hart et al. 2002; Xiao et al. 2003; Shao et al. 2007). According to the classic tectonic model of porphyry deposits (Sillitoe 1972; Mitchell 1973; Bowen and Gunatilaka 1977), porphyry deposits are expected in this tectonic setting. |
