A permanent magnet-biased active magnetic bearing (PMAMB) is an efficient design of pure active magnetic bearing systems. This paper presents a digital decentralized doubleloop controller for a radial homopolar PM-AMB. The inner loop is for current control while the outer loop is the master one and is devoted for regulation the shaft position around the operating point despite the harmonic excitation forces due to the inherent rotor unbalance. The Spectrum Digital eZdsp F2812 board is used for control implementation. Experimental results are given to validate the performance of the system followed by calculation of the power consumed by the radial bearing. |
