The aim of this study is to assess the impact of information framing regarding the current residential energy price and supply crisis on behavioural intentions and attitudes. Specifically, we will assess the impact of a financial frame, an environmental frame and an energy security frame, relative to a control group receiving no information on a range of behavioural intentions related to energy consumption, adoption of energy saving measures in the home, and attitudes towards energy-related behaviours. We will also collect information regards participant’s view on advertisement effectiveness, socio-demographic and dwelling characteristics of participants. Our target population is the general adult population in Ireland and data will be collected via an online panel. |
