Lung cancer(LC)is one of the most common cancers.In 2019,in Spain,29.503 new cases were diagnosed;it presents a high mortality rate(22.121 deaths in 2017).Our aim is to know LC patients characteristics,treatments and evolution in our centre,which participates in the National Registry of Thoracic Tumors of the Spanish Lung Cancer Group. Retrospective study of LC patients diagnosed between December 2017-December 2019 including demographic data,histology,treatments and evolution. We studied 701 patients,76.5%were males and the average age was 68years.86.6%of them had smoking habits,39.4%were active smokers at the diagnostic.Previously cancer was present in 20.6%and 27,5%had history of LC in the family. Histologic and stage at diagnostic are included in Figure1 Chemotherapy(±RT)was the initial treatment in 79.6%.Surgery was performed in 28.35%.Immunotherapy was the second maintenance treatment most used after chemotherapy(20.7%vs56.1%) Conclusions: Diagnosis is made in advanced stages,implying a high mortality at the first year(small-cell LC 59.50%) Immunotherapy use increases in maintenance treatment, future studies provide information about its results |
