Popis: The effects of long-term elevated CO2 and nitrogen availability on net photosynthesis, Rubisco activity and content and C/N-ratio in the needles of field-grown Scots pine were studied in a branch-bag experiment. Decreased Rubisco content and increased C/N in nonfertilized trees indicated acclimation response to elevated CO2 . Photosynthetic rates measured at ambient CO2 were maintained. No acclimation response to high CO2 was observed in fertilized trees.
