Popis: Chapter 3 presents a review of the Nigerian property market. Conceptualized from a purpose efficiency perspective, it is found to be inefficient due to widespread negative externalities, which is typical of the private rental housing market. This chapter is written with the specific aim of examining the possible solutions to negative externality from theoretical and empirical context. The intention is to discover the adequacy of the remedies available to victims of a negative externality on residential property.
