Popis: The report covers the results of testing four passive hearing protection devices for continuous noise attenuation using the Real Ear Attenuation at Threshold (REAT) test, the Impulsive Noise Insertion Loss (IPIL) test, and for localization performance using a free-field localization test. Tests generally showed more attenuation with solid plugs (as opposed to vented plugs), greater IPIL with solid plugs, and conflicting localization performance results.
