Superconducting Transition Temperatures of Semiconducting SrTiO3

Popis: The superconducting transition temperature ${T}_{c}$ of SrTi${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ has been measured for specimens having electron carrier concentrations ${n}_{c}$ from 6.9\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}${10}^{18}$ to 5.5\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}${10}^{20}$ ${\mathrm{cm}}^{\ensuremath{-}3}$. The curve exhibits a maximum in ${T}_{c}$ for ${n}_{c}$ near 9\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}${10}^{19}$ ${\mathrm{cm}}^{\ensuremath{-}3}$. The transition temperature has also been calculated using one adjustable parameter $\ensuremath{\xi}$, the intervalley deformation potential, in addition to the known normal-state properties of SrTi${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$. A good fit to the experimental curve is obtained.
