This study tries to replicate and extend the findings from previous research about the relation between belief in a just world (BJW) and victim blaming (Correia & Vala, 2003; Furnham, 2003; Strömwall et al., 2013a). The question in this research is, whether participants with a high belief in a just world tend to blame victims more. The belief in a just world motive will be measured by the “Allgemeiner Gerechte-Welt-Glaube Skala”, short GWAL scale according to Dalbert, Montada and Schmitt from 1987 (Schmitt, Dalbert, Montada, Gschwendner, Maes, Reichle, Radant, Schneider & Brähler, 2008). |
