| Popis: | When administered orally, dl-cis-bisdehydrodoisynolic acid methyl ether elicited 3 and 57 times the uterotrophic activity of estrone in mice and rats, respectively. The compound did not show prolonged activity characteristic of steroidal estrogens having prolonged activity. Orally, the material demonstrated 30 times the antifertility activity of mestranol in rats; whereas, the compound elicited only 4 times the gonadotrophin inhibitory activity of mestranol. |
