This scoping review will be conducted with the aims to explore nurses perceptions of medication errors in children. It will be conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology for scoping reviews. The steps for this review will be as follow 1- defining the research question and initial search terms, 2- identifying relevant studies in all databases (Medline (Ovid), CINAHL, Web of science, Embase (Ovid), Scopus, JBI evidence-based Practice (EBP) database and Nursing & allied health database (ProQuest) for published studies to capture relevant literature across disciplines, 3- importing all citations of potential studies into the online program Covidence, 4- title -abstract and full text screening will be performed independently by at least two reviewers and any disagreements that arise between the reviewers at each stage of the selection process will be resolved through discussion, 5- Screening of references of the included studies or any review encounter will be performed, 6- Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) will be presented with the reasons for exclusion, 7- collating, summarising, and reporting the results. |
