The introduction of photovoltaic power generation systems (PV-systems) is being encouraged and advanced as a matter of national policy in Japan. When the arc discharge occurs on the DC side by disconnection or short-circuit fault, it should be extinguished as soon as possible in order to prevent an expansion to a fire faults. In this report, as a first step, we focused on DC arc caused by disconnection of solar cell array and experimentally investigated the process of its occurrence and disappearance. |
