Popis: | This paper presents a study on electromagnetic emitter localization using time difference of arrival (TDOA) and frequency-difference-of-arrival (FDOA) measurements acquired by moving sensors in the presence of communication constraints. The problem is framed as a Markov Decision Process where the action plan is the sequence of measurements to exchange within the sensor network and the reward function is calculated based on Cramer-Rao Lower Bound. Several optimization methods are proposed and benchmarked including myopic, multi-step ahead and heuristic approaches. The benefits of a non-myopic strategy are highlighted through simulated scenarios involving moving sensor platforms and one emitting source. |
