Optical wavelength focusing with silicon on insulator and metal conductor micro slit structure

Popis: Micro slit array structure is used to distribute bigger light source to smaller source which gives light gathering capacity for micron sized waveguide. This research demonstrated the different designs for Optical focusing by an array of Silicon on insulator ridge waveguide. Focusing is carried out in 1.5μm–1.6μm wavelength range. An array of micro slit is arranged in straight manner to achieve larger source focusing in small source. It is observed and analyzed that for the different wavelength the distance of focusing beam is being varied its position. Focusing Power for all structures have investigated over given wavelength range. The overall size for the focusing structure is 30μmx15μm. Sample input beam size is 15 μm wide. Some of investigated structures also work as power divider and beam focusing combine.
