The influence of pressure on the superconducting properties of the (CuxC1−x)Ba2Can−1CunOy family of HTSC materials

Popis: Samples of the (Cu x C 1−x )Ba 2 Ca n−1 Cu n O y family have been prepared under various conditions to obtain the n=3 (T c ≈80K), n=4 (T c ≈117K) phases, and sequences going up to n=7. Moreover, a minority (unidentified) phase with T c as high as 127K is observed in samples prepared under a 8GPa pressure. An applied pressure has the strongest effect on this high T c which reaches 136K under 21GPa in resistivity measurements.
