Popis: | Steven Kyffin, senior director of Design Research and Innovation at Philips, designs domestic Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Two of his most recent achievements are POGO and LiME (living memory). The former is a creative toy for constructing digital narratives while the latter is a collection of devices for supporting local communities. Both illustrate how to reposition physically and digitally task-centered technologies into being-centered technologies. Currently, Kyffin is collaborating with other researchers to explore two methods. First, he is working with researchers at the Royal College of Art on extreme users. Second, he is working with a group at the Technical University of Eindhoven regarding the use of design probes to explore how things can express emotion arising from other places. |
