Popis:	Analysis of the chromosomes of one of the tickseed sunflowers, Bldens polylepis Blake, has revealed counts of n-12, 2n=24. Eight chromosome pairs were metacentric with a range of total lengths of 1.3u to 2.5u. Two chromosome pairs were submetacentrEc and two chromosome pairs were subtelocentric. SATchromosomes comprise three chromosome pairs of this species.
