Effects of heavy loads on drive elements under extreme contact pressures must be carefully considered. Due to the great contact stress between the mechanical elements, easily to cause significant deformation and serious wear. Therefore, it is of great importance to establish the key technology of the good tribological performance of the drive element under the extreme contact pressure in the future. Moreover, the basic materials of drive elements are often the high carbon chromium alloy steel. Hence, this paper is based on the above statements to investigate the effects of cryogenic treatment on tribological properties of this steel after induction hardening. These results are compared with the current production of long-term carburizing low-carbon alloy steel. As a result, the standards of heat treatments and source materials of the drive elements will be established for the related industries. |
