Popis: | A method has been developed for creating bulk quantities of water-soluble single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) that contain multifunctional, acid-sensitive addends. Utilizing aryl diazonium salts, the repetitive functionalization protocol can yield multifunctional SWNTs containing moieties that would not be stable to the harsh oleum functionalization conditions used previously. The presence of multifunctionality on the SWNTs has been confirmed using Raman spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. |
