Virtual bound states due to 4d-and 5d-transition metal impurities in Ag and Au

Popis:	Residual resistivities and low temperature thermopowers are reported for Y,Pd(4d) and Lu, Pt(5d) in Au and Ag. These measurements confirm the virtual bound state (VBS) model in these alloys. From a comparison between new dHvA and transport results on Ag Pt the halfwidth of the VBS, Δ, is found to lie in the range 0.25
