Popis:	Oxidation of hydrate ReO2, 2H2O is studied by electron microscopy and X-ray powder diffraction. It yields to ReO3. Evidence is given of existence of a structure Me2O5 as intermediary compound. The microstructure of single crystals prepared by sublimation under reduced pressure of oxygen, shows planar defects in agreement with the transformation Re2O5 → ReO3.
