Popis: | As the world is moving towards smart cities and new technologies coming up so taking one aspect of smart city that is smart traffic management system. Here we present an approach for intelligent traffic system using existing infrastructure such as CCTV, ATC (Area traffic control) etc. The prime objective of this work is to dynamically time the traffic light using CCTV depending upon traffic density. Using this dynamic timing we propose to develop mechanism for communication between traffic light for release of traffic depending on load capacity and this avoids traffic congestion well in advance. In case of traffic congestion occurs the traffic will be cleared using the proposed mechanism. Also bridging the gap between Internet of Things and Traffic management system. Emergency vehicle preemption system is taken in to consideration. Our proposed approach addresses many social issues such as urban diseconomy caused by traffic congestion, environmental impact and most important saving precious human lives in case of emergency. |
