Popis: Library automation has re-invigorated and changed virtually every aspect of the delivery of library services. Library users are not necessarily required to come to the library to avail themselves of library services. Librarians now provide assistance in choosing among the myriad options that present themselves to the library user in an automated environment. Small college libraries in the 1990s have users who are demanding quality service based on the latest electronic formats. In order to be adequately planned to support library technology, library space must be planned to take advantage of the opportunities and challenges that ir presents. Planning for library automation installations in new buildings has taken on a much more criticla role in making a new building successful
