The article presents the results of a commission and a comprehensive forensic medical examination on the “Criminal case on suspicion of S. of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation”, concerning the death of a child E., two years old, who was being treated for acute poisoning with vinegar essence, in which, based on the analysis of clinical and laboratory manifestations of the disease, data from forensic and forensic histological studies, signs of encephalopathy (cerebral edema) and fatty degeneration, regarded as manifestations of Reye-like syndrome, which was the direct cause of the child’s death. |
