Popis: | The results of an experimental study of the influence of a longitudinal magnetic field of an elongated solenoid on stretching of metal shaped-charge jets in free flight are presented. In the experiments, shaped charges of 50 mm diameter with a copper conical liner have been used. The parameters of the discharge circuit of a solenoid with a capacitive energy storage provided the characteristic times of reaching the maximum magnetic induction to be of the order of 100 μs. For the magnetic field parameters used in the experiments with a maximum induction value of up to 10 T, a small increase in the penetration depth of a steel target was observed, not exceeding 10%. The possible reasons for the large discrepancy between the obtained results and the results of similar experiments are discussed. |
