Popis: The Internet provides reliable data delivery with little effort by the end user. The challenged networks such as under water networks, Military networks and satellite networks may experience frequent partition and long time delay, long queuing times and interoperability. Current transport layers protocols are unable to provide communication between these types of disconnected networks. It would be better to provide standard protocols that are used for communication in and around challenged networks. The proposed solution is the delay tolerant networking architecture which is used to provide a network architecture independent messaging service. Delay Tolerant Networks operates above transport layer for various network based applications and provides store and forward functionality for these types of special networks. In this paper, the performance of Chief and Middle Multicast Routing protocol with message ferrying in Delay Tolerant Network is discussed. We show our policy outperforms existing policies used and maximizes the delivery ratio and minimizes the delay.
