The NOAA Solar Radiation Program is discussed in terms of the past data and future plans. Attempts are being made to renovate some of the old data by applying known instrument calibration changes and an analysis technique which uses cloudless, true solar noon, solar transmission values. These corrected data will be used to develop models to predict irradiance from cloudiness data.
