Popis:	An all-plastic direct-view liquid crystal display with light weight, high contrast, saturated colors, and wide viewing-angle is proposed. The display combines three controllable liquid crystal cells with intermediate coated-polymer liquid crystal retarder stacks to provide full-color pixels. Prototype structures indicate that each pixel will have a wide color gamut, and optical efficiency over six times that of current DSTN displays.
