Popis: The simultaneous action of corrosive media and mechanical stresses on cementitious materials leads to stress corrosion. Both the flexural strength of mortars in various aqueous solutions and the creep behaviour of concrete in sodium sulphate solutions depend significantly on the external load being applied during the period of chemical attack. The stress corrosion of hydraulic binders is of importance with respect to the evaluation of the durability of concrete structures subjected to chemical attack under practical conditions. Beside the chemical attack, the structure is subjected to different types of mechanical stress, i.e. the occurrence of stress corrosion is probable.
