Popis: | This work is intended to determine the most favourable heat transfer configuration in waste heat boiler from the points of view of heat transfer area and the power consumption. The design criteria of the present waste heat boiler assumes a constant heat transfer area while changing the flue gas velocity with the variation of the recirculated flue gas volume flow rate according to the gas turbine load. A set of design curves and tables were obtained for different tubes arrangements inside the waste heat boiler. These curves and tables shows the temperature distribution, the mass of recirculated flue gas, and the convection and radiation heat transfer coefficients as a function of the flue gas velocity, the flue gas temperature for different gas turbine loads. Also the inside and outside tubes pressure drop were determined. These data were used to determine the flue gas velocities, amount of steam formed, the power consumpion, the heat transfer area for different types of waste heat boiler at different loads of a sulzer 5 Mwatt gas turbine type-3 operating on pure Kerosine. It is found that the required heat transfer area is minimum when the tubes in the superheating section are arranged verticlly or horizontally in triangular pattern and the tubes in the water heating and boiling sections are arranged horizontally in triangular pattern. The power consumption to overcome the pressure drop is minimum when all the tubes are positioned horizontally in square pattern. The data obtained are useful for optimum design of waste heat boiler for desalination-gas turbine cogeneration plant according to the time and the site of the plant construction. |
