Digital Satellite Simulator (DSS) is a system which can realize high precision simulation of each subsystem on board, verify and drill the flight process in orbit. It can generate the original Telemetry (TM) frames according the frame format of the real satellite, execute and respond the Telecommand (TC) correctly, provide the real TM, TC, and external data interface for the TT&C ground test system. DSS can be used to verify the correctness of the TT&C ground test system hardware function, verify the correctness of TC sequence which is used for mission planning in orbit, verify the correctness of attitude in orbit and orbital maneuver, verify the authenticity and reliability of the software operating environment on board, provide a real training and operating platform for the satellite designers and operators, this platform can help users to deal with the FDIR in orbit much more better in the exercise. Function, structure, and realization method of DSS are introduced in this document from the angle of software engineering. Generality and mass production requirement has been considered in this design, the product development mode has been formed. This DSS has been applied in many projects such as VRSS-1, VRSS-2, PRSS-1 and so on. Some suggestions are also proposed for the DSS follow-up technological development. |
