| Popis: | This workshop described the many services that consortia provide to their member libraries. In the latter part of the presentations, big questions were raised that remained unanswered, although the answers are important both for member libraries and for consortia. In part, those questions raise the issues: Are consortia good or bad for libraries and library patrons? Are consortia using their clout wisely? Are the services they offer the ones their members want? Are they homogenizing collections? Are they doing away with collection development as a discipline? |
