Against the current problem of large errors in the test result of short cable force, this paper, based on energy method principle, introduces the concept of simply-supported modal participation factor. On the premise of considering the impact of such factors as flexural rigidity and boundary conditions, etc. on cable force test, this paper corrects the existing prediction models for short cable force, to provide a computational formula based on compound boundary conditions for the short cable force. Field measured data is combined to compare the prediction accuracy of the existing formulas, to draw a conclusion that the error of short cable force is almost always greater than 5% when calculation is based on simple-supported boundary conditions, and the error of short cable force is always greater than 10% when calculation is based on consolidation boundary conditions, while the error of short cable force is always less than 5% when calculation is based on the compound boundary conditions presented in this paper. |
